Our Commitment to Compliance
Protecting the People We Serve
Privacy & Confidentiality
- Responsible Information Handling: Personal and health-related information is accessed only when appropriate for authorized care, operational, or administrative purposes.
- Restricted Access: Secure portals, employee systems, and confidential records are limited to users with appropriate authorization.
- Privacy-Focused Communication: Public website forms are intended for general information and should not be used to submit detailed medical histories, medications, or other sensitive health information.
Protecting confidentiality is a shared responsibility across every level of the organization.
Prepared & Accountable
Training & Competency
- Required Training: Employees complete training relevant to their position, responsibilities, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Annual Competency Review: Direct care worker competency is reviewed on an ongoing basis and at least annually when required under applicable Pennsylvania standards.
- Ongoing Education: Additional training may be assigned when care responsibilities, policies, regulations, or individual performance needs change.
Online courses may support Marigold’s training and competency program, but course completion alone does not replace any required observation, demonstration, supervision, or other competency verification.
Safe, Ethical Care
Standards of Conduct
- Respect & Dignity: Clients are treated with respect for their choices, privacy, independence, and personal preferences.
- Safety & Reporting: Employees are expected to recognize and report concerns involving safety, abuse, neglect, privacy, or inappropriate conduct.
- Professional Responsibility: Staff are responsible for following care plans, organizational policies, training requirements, and the limits of their assigned role.
Marigold encourages concerns to be raised promptly so they can be reviewed and addressed appropriately.
Website & Portal Security
Marigold may provide secure areas for clients, employees, caregivers, and other authorized users. Account access is personal and should never be shared.
Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, verification codes, and other account credentials. Unauthorized access, account sharing, or attempts to obtain information outside a user’s permitted role are prohibited.
Protecting Health Information
Public website forms are designed for general inquiries only.
Please do not submit:
- Medication lists or dosage information;
- Detailed diagnoses or medical histories;
- Medical records or test results;
- Social Security numbers;
- Patient photographs or care documentation; or
- Other sensitive health information unless Marigold has specifically provided an approved secure method for doing so.
If additional information is needed to coordinate care, a Marigold team member will explain the appropriate next step.
Employee & Training Confidentiality
Employees should never include real client or patient information in course discussions, quizzes, assignments, comments, or practice exercises unless specifically instructed to use an approved secure system.
Training examples should use fictional, de-identified, or Marigold-approved information.
